It’s that time of year again! Once more, a limited edition Hanika "Jahresmodell" has arrived. The 2026 model boasts several special features not found in the standard Hanika lineup. The first thing that catches the eye is the unique selection of woods. Thermo-modified spruce is used for the soundboard, while the back and sides are crafted from breathtakingly beautiful Zebrano. A truly rare sight! Thermo-modified cherry was chosen for the neck, and both the fingerboard and bridge are made of Ziricote. The body is bound with genuine ebony binding. Finding premium woods like these in this price range is truly remarkable!
Beyond its stunning looks and exclusive wood selection, the sound is equally impressive. The model delivers a beautifully balanced tonal profile. The tone is highly responsive and dynamic; the overtones are subtle, allowing for exceptional string separation. It offers a wonderful sound that stands apart from the "classic" rosewood tone! A domed soundboard with Torres bracing ensures quick attack. Additionally, the soundboard features a thin "Natural" finish, allowing it to vibrate more freely.
