Hanika 50TBF Custom "Spalted Beech"

This instrument was designed for this year's "Akustika" music fair in Nuremberg and was planned as a truly unique piece. We were able to secure this instrument. It wasn't surprising that it quickly found a new home. We liked the look and sound so much that we asked Hanika to build this model exclusively for us again. And here it is! The world's second Hanika 50TBF Custom "Spalted Birch"!

The Hanika 50 TBF serves as the basis. However, the back and sides of this special guitar are made of "Spalted Birch." The distinctive grain in the birch is caused by fungal growth, which stops the moment the tree is felled. Combined with carbon fiber laminated to the back from the inside, this creates an extremely stable construction with a great sonical projection. Combined with the heat-treated spruce top, the guitar produces a warm, nuanced sound with a very easy response and excellent balance. Even players with a light touch can produce a full, sustaining tone! A major advantage of the heat-treated woods and carbon lamination is that this instrument is very durable and significantly less sensitive to fluctuating temperature and humidity. A huge plus, especially for traveling guitarists!
