Just like a Les Paul Junior, the Epiphone Coronet appeared in the late 1950s as an affordable entry-level model and later gained numerous fans in the rock and blues scene. Ron Wood, for example, has been spotted playing this model on various occasions.

The Coronet is made entirely of mahogany and has a wiry yet warm basic sound, which is excellently realized by the P-90 single coil.
