Is there a more classic Stratocaster than a '63 model in 3-Tone Sunburst? We think no...... The model shown here was ordered as a "Heavy Relic," completed with hand-wound '60/'63 single-coil pickups and a beautiful "Sorted For Dark" rosewood fretboard in the typical round-lamb style of this era. Thanks to the vintage staggered tuners, a string retainer is not necessary and this feature significantly improves tuning stability.

This Strat doesn't just look classic, though; thanks to the excellent materials used, it's also every bit as good as the original models in terms of sound. The bass is punchy and well-defined, the midrange provides excellent presence, and the highs are crisp without ever becoming shrill. The very good sustain and powerful tone across the entire fretboard are particularly noteworthy.
