Of course, the sight of a black Strat with maple neck immediately brings to mind EC. For over 14 years, he was practically inseparable from this instrument. In an interview around 1980, he said he would apologize to Blackie for every wrong note... while that won't be necessary with the '55 reissue presented here, we suspect the future owner will also develop a really close relationship with this masterpiece. Weighing in at 3106 grams, it practically nestles against the player. A Custom Shop employee undoubtedly had a really lucky touch when choosing this two-piece ash body. The entire instrument resonates and vibrates with such joy!
