This Limited Edition reissue of the '64 L-Series is being built by Fender's Custom Shop. They brought together the combined expertise of their best luthiers to create an instrument that rivals the best originals in terms of sound and appearance.

This Stratocaster features a rift-sawn maple neck with a comfortable 1963-style "C"-shaped profile, a round-lam rosewood fingerboard with compound radius, and 21 medium vintage frets (47095). Fender describes the sound of the hand-wound '64 Stratocaster pickups (reversed wound in the middle position) as "clear highs, well-balanced mids, and tight lows," and this hit the mark!
The looks of this Strat are no less impressive than the sound, courtesy of a beautiful "Faded/Aged Target 3-Tone Sunburst" with matching aging. The back of the neck was also treated in this way, giving this instrument a familiar and comfortable feel when played.
