Fender Custom Shop Stratocaster Late 1962 REL Shell Pink MB Andy Hicks

Here is another '60s-style Stratocaster by Andy Hicks. Its specifications exactly match a model built in November 1962. The neck features a relatively slim "Modern V" profile—a shape occasionally found on originals from that era that feels very comfortable in the hand. The fretboard is made of dark rosewood ("sorted for dark") and looks fantastic paired with the Shell Pink body! The Custom Shop has captured the color of the original dot markers with absolute authenticity, and Masterbuilder Andy Hicks has executed the aging process just as convincingly. He created the burn marks on the headstock using a Marlboro cigarette, and the entire instrument carries a subtle scent of Jack Daniel's.

Whatever small amount of Rock 'n' Roll spirit might still be missing, the player should have no trouble adding it with the help of this magnificent Strat.

Additional Notes: Sorted for Lightweight, Sorted for Dark, Neck Back Worn & Dirty, Peghead Scraped & Scratched w. Cigarette Marks, Fret Ends Quite Straight, Tone Saver Treble Bleed.
