Fender Custom Shop Stratocaster 1968 DLX CC AVW

Here is a 1968 reissue - an interesting era at Fender that brought a lot of innovations! In addition to changes in the finish and the plastic parts, the most noticeable difference was the lack of a "skunk stripe" on the maple necks. This was made possible by a separate maple fingerboard that allowed the steel rod to be mounted from above. For this reissue, the Custom Shop chose a 1969 "U", which is pleasantly rounded and feels very nice in the hand.
All of these typical features were implemented with great attention to detail in this exquisite reissue. Jimi Hendrix would certainly have had nothing to complain about here!
