Fender Custom Shop Stratocaster 1955 Vintage Custom HT TCP WF2TSB

As a counterpart to the recently arrived 1955 Stratocaster in black, here is the hardtail version in "Wide Fade 2-Color Sunburst." The black model features a rather slim "Modern V" neck profile and modern (6105 Narrow Jumbo) frets. The hardtail version shown here, however, is clearly based on the very first Strats that left the factory in Fullerton in 1954. This is evidenced by the robust "1954 U" neck, the slightly narrower 47095 Medium Vintage frets, and the 7.25" fingerboard radius (here in the 7.25"/9.5" compound configuration).
What do they have in common? Both use very light swamp ash for the body, resulting in both excellent and resonant examples of early Stratocasters.
