You are already gripped by the guitar when you pick it up for the first time - with its lightweight of only 3200 grams, it feels just right and impresses with fantastic tone and remarkable dynamics. An ebony fretboard? Even if the deep black wood looks like it at first glance, it's actually wonderful and really dark rosewood. Equally exquisite is the birdseye maple for the neck and the gold-plated hardware. Incidentally, the finish was made with urethane, which really shows off the beauty of the back of the neck.
While the Robert Cray Strat visually conveys some luxury, switching and the PU's are down-to-earth. The wiring is classic (master volume, tone 1. (neck pickup), tone 2. (middle pickup) and the pickups sound clear and open - that's exactly how you want it with this Strat!
