Fender Custom Shop Nocaster 1951 Heavy Relic HB Greg Fessler #112859

Again Greg Fessler has built us a Nocaster where everything is all right! The specs (selected and very light ash, the light Nocaster Blonde of the very early models together with the typical Fessler aging, this great "soft V2" neck with a 12" radius and the 6105 medium jumbos) are simply great and that's exactly the reason why we ordered this model also from Ron Thorn, Dale Wilson and Vince Van Trigt. In the classic version with a single coil in the neck position as well as with a humbucker as shown here. Which one? The Seymour Duncan Antiquity is exact what you will exspect here and is really very close with an original PAF. So clear, open and dynamic, it is a real reference! Of course, like the original with unpotted coils, which here (Duncan) and there (Original) has already caused some problems with feedback. At least with the Antiquity, Seymour Duncan was able to get rid of these problems of the early models and so you can enjoy its wonderful sound even at increased volume and with some distortion.
Additional Notes: Phenol pickguard, back of neck worn & dirty, humbucker in neck position with black pickup ring, ends of frets almost straight for more space on top, all slothead screws.
