Fender Jazzmaster Troy Van Leeuwen RW OXBLD

Troy van Leeuwen – well-known Progressive and Stoner Rock guitarist, was honored by Fender to receive his own signature model. Van Leeuwen became famous for his brilliant guitar playing in the bands "Queens of Stone Age" and "Perfect Circle". As an avowed Jazzmaster player, the only "Troy van Leeuwen signature model" that could be considered was this special Fender model, which experienced a renaissance with the rise of Grunge, Alternative and Indie Rock at the beginning of the 90s.

The "Fender Troy van Leeuwen Jazzmaster RW Oxblood" comes in the classic Jazzmaster design, but was equipped with some useful changes at van Leeuwen's special request. Instead of the conventional Jazzmaster bridge, a Mustang bridge with chrome-plated brass saddles was installed here, which prevents the strings from jumping off the saddle when struck too hard. The conventional slide switch for switching to the "Rhythm Tone Circuit" is replaced by a massive chrome toggle switch, which is not only easier to use, but is also perfectly suited for excessive "kill switch" use. The composition of the tonewood is well-tried. An alder body, in connection with a "C-Shape" maple neck and a rosewood fingerboard, has been the solid basis for the classic Jazzmaster sound, which the two Pure Vintage '65 Jazzmaster single coils transmit to the guitar amp in an impressive manner. Quoting Troy van Leeuwen: "This is a modern twist on a classic".

But the really special thing about the "Fender Troy van Leeuwen Jazzmaster RW Oxblood" is its impressive outfit. Bloody, uuhh! This color is actually only known from Fender grill clothes. And of course with "Matching Headstock", needless to say. And on special request of Troy van Leeuwen: Block inlays and neck binding – very rarely found on Fender necks! In addition a matching dark "4-ply tortoiseshell" pickguard with white witch hat buttons. This guitar looks really cool and dangerous!
