Fender is proud to present the new Johnny Marr Signature Jaguar®. Marr is best known as the influential anti-hero guitarist and all-round genius of the Manchester quartet "The Smiths". With them he practically reinvented the UK pop scene in the 80s. He then brought his skills as a master of melody and sonic texture to The The, Electronic, The Pretenders, and Johnny Marr and the Healers, among others. His genius is also evident in his work with "Modest Mouse", "Cribs" and countless guest appearances. The Johnny Marr Signature Jaguar is a beautifully customized version of the model, as unique as the sounds Marr gets out of it. Special features include: Custom-Wound Bare Knuckle® Johnny Marr single-coil neck and bridge, a custom-sculpted maple neck modeled after Marr's 1965 Jaguar with a vintage-style truss rod, lacquer finish, and signed headstock. Electronics include a 4-way, four-position pickup blade switch (bridge, bridge and neck in parallel, neck, bridge and neck in series) on the chrome plate on the lower horn, as well as two slide switches on the upper horn (Universal Bright and Bright for pickup switch position 4). The Jaguar bridge with Mustang® saddles includes nylon bridge bolts for stability, a chrome cover, and a vintage-style floating tremolo. The extended tremolo arm also has a nylon insert to prevent unwanted swinging motion.
