Fender Telecaster "Jimmy Page the Mirror" RW White Blonde

Description

"It is a magic guitar!" With these words, Jimmy Page himself described his "Mirror" Telecaster. The original was built in 1959 and was first owned by Jeff Beck, who gave it to Jimmy Page in 1966. Jimmy Page, guitarist of the legendary Yardbirds at that time, soon fitted eight round mirrors on the Tele. This was inspired by the Pink Floyd guitarist Syd Barrett. The legendary 1967 Yardbirds' TV appearance in Offenbach, Germany, shows Jimmy Page maltreating his "Mirror" with a violin bow – something like this had never been seen before.

The Fender Telecaster "Jimmy Page the Mirror" from the Artist series is a homage to this legendary guitar icon. It was designed to reproduce the original guitar as accurately as possible. As with the original, the "Jimmy Page the Mirror" has a two-piece body made of resonant ash wood. The maple neck with a historically correct rosewood slab fretboard fits extremely well and is connected to the body with a "Jimmy Page Signature" chrome neck plate. The Jimmy Page Custom '59 Tele Pickups were built to come as close as possible to the originals. Perfect for uncompromising rock! The design of the bridge is also faithful to the 1959 original: The strings on the "Mirror" can either be wound through the body (string through) or strung horizontally on the bridge, depending on personal preference.

Of course, the distinctive mirror stickers that make the "Mirror" so individual should not be missing. Here it was decided to leave it up to the buyer to decide whether and how to mount them on the Tele. For this purpose, 8 self-adhesive mirrors with a template for the mirror placement were included. This piece of jewellery is rounded off by a subtle "Jimmy Page" signature on the back of the headstock. But be careful: This icon of Rock history is only available for a short time in a limited edition!
