Fender Telecaster Thinline 1972 American Vintage II 3-Tone Sunburst

The Fender American Vintage II series is not only visually based on the historical designs that have written music history. The details have also been exactly reproduced: bodies, neck profiles, hardware, finishes and the pickups, which are carefully matched to the specifications of the original model year. Each instrument embodies the authentic character and sound of the respective original model.
The Telecaster Thinline celebrated its premiere in July 1968. The semi-hollow design made it possible to build a lightweight instrument from the relatively heavy ash wood. At the end of 1971 the new creation got a pearloid pickguard with two wide range humbuckers. In 1972, the second generation of the Telecaster Thinline had successfully completed its first year of production. It was the first six-string Fender instrument with humbucking pickups and the first Tele with six individually adjustable saddles. The American Vintage II 1972 Telecaster Thinline corresponds to the original in terms of sound, look and feel.
The Hard Rock Maple neck with a 7.25" fretboard radius and vintage tall frets is incredibly comfortable to play. The American Vintage II 1972 Telecaster Thinline also spoils the sound of even the most demanding players, because the humbuckers have been meticulously reconstructed, including the original CuNiFe magnets. Also typical for the production year 1972 are the "Bullet" neck adjustment and the triple-bolted neck plate with Micro-Tilt mechanics, the tuners with F embossing and the string-through-body bridge with six steel string saddles.
