Here's an Explorer in the typical custom design. The Nashville Custom Shop is currently producing small numbers of identical models of the RD Artist and the Flying V. The neck profile is somewhere between that of a '58 and a '59 Les Paul—not thin, but still very comfortable to play. They all share the same pickup configuration, which Gibson has always used on these customs: a 490R in the neck position and a 498T at the bridge.
