Gibson Les Paul 1958 Standard Reissue Washed Cherry Sunburst VOS #891027

Without doubt 1958 is the decisive year in the history of the Gibson Les Paul. Shortly after Seth Lover's newly developed Humbucker pickup was installed on the Les Paul, the finish of the Les Paul changed from GoldTop to the much more popular Sunburst in 1958. Pow! A legend was born! This guitar was to play a crucial role in the history of Rock'n Roll up to the present day and was to become the "most wanted guitar of all times". The prices on the vintage market for such fine and ultra rare instruments speak for themselves.

Gibson wouldn't be Gibson if they didn't try to reproduce this magic and the electrifying sound of the originals. And in fact they did it perfectly! The exquisite 1958 Les Paul Standard Reissues from the Gibson Custom Shop were built exactly according to their legendary models. Everything is right down to the smallest detail: the technical specs, the classic Les Paul sound and the finish just like the originals. In order to get as close as possible to the magical flair of an old Les Paul Standard Sunburst, the 1958 Les Paul Standard Reissue is offered in various sunburst finishes with different fading. Wow – that's pure emotion!

So ... In the end, the only choice is how your guitar should look like. The color "Washed Cherry Burst" probably comes closest to a Les Paul Standard who left the Gibson Factory in 1958. A strong red on the edge, which gently changes into a subtle orange and ends in a warm yellow. Just great! If you want it to be a little bit more subtle in color, no problem: you can also choose the colors "Iced Tea Burst" and "Lemon Burst". For Whiskey drinkers and Hellraisers there is also a dark brown "Bourbon Burst" Les Paul 1958 Reissue on offer. It's your choice! Just check out the Guitar Place websites!
