Gibson SG 1964 Standard Reissue with Maestro Murphy Lab Light Aged Antique Pelham Blue

And yet another masterpiece from the Gibson Murphy Lab Collection – an extraordinary reissue of a 1964 Gibson SG Standard in "Antique Pelham Blue" finish. This extremely rare custom color is probably one of the most remarkable Gibson metallic finishes of the 1960s. As a special feature, this impressive 1964 SG Reissue received a professional Murphy Lab "Light Aged" treatment, which makes it damn close to the originals in terms of look, feel and flair – grade A in terms of authenticity! This is not at least due to the fact that the Gibson Custom Shop precisely adhered to the original vintage specifications in terms of wood selection, construction, hardware equipment and electronics in order to create an instrument that comes damn close to the best old originals.

This 1964 SG Reissue is perfect for SG fans who have been looking for something very special for a long time. Not only does it look damn good, it sounds killer too! Pure PAF sound! The two "unpotted" Alnico III humbuckers, which are processed exclusively on high-quality Custom Shop instruments, give this SG that significant Rock sound that has been immediately heard on countless recordings for 60 years. Uncompromisingly direct, punchy and forceful; in a word: the ultimate Rock guitar. It was not for nothing that guitar legends like Tony Iommi, Robby Krieger, George Harrison, Pete Townsend, Dickey Betts, Eric Clapton and many more swore by this ultimate Rock icon.
