"Would you like a little more?" Under this slogan, optically improved Gibson Les Paul Customs were offered as an alternative to the Les Paul Standard in the mid-1950s. The Custom as a 'top-of-the-line' model was fitted with gold-colored hardware, multy-ply binding on top and bottom of the body, an ebony fingerboard with block-shaped mother-of-pearl inlays and a split diamond inlay on the headstock. Reason enough for Guitar-Place to order such an exciting model as a "Made to Measure" version according to special specifications.
Guitar-Place took particular importance to the fact that the M2M Les Paul Custom was gentle on the back of its future owner. Equipped with an ultra-light Mahogany body and a "Medium Rounded C" neck, the weight will be based on the lightest models of the original. The installed Alnico-III pickups come damn close to the original PAF sound and are perfect for classic Blues, Rock and Hard Rock. Randy Rhoads, who unfortunately passed away much too early and swore on his white Les Paul Custom, would be absolutely thrilled! In short, this M2M Les Paul Custom has all the features that make the best examples of the famous originals so desirable!
The M2M Les Paul Custom is rounded off by an elaborate "Lighty Relic Aging", which gives the impression of a guitar that has been carefully treated and spent many years on the stage. Typical for the Classic White Finish on a Les Paul Custom is an age-related fading from white to a subtle yellow. This fascinating aging process has been impressively recreated by the luthiers from the Gibson Custom Shop. This gives his player an authentic Look & Feel of an old Les Paul Custom that is second to none!
We have ordered this instrument from Gibson in an edition of 3 pieces, which are expected to be delivered in January 2021!
