Gibson SG Junior Vintage Cherry

Since its introduction in 1961, the Gibson SG has inspired a large number of musicians who use their SG live and in the studio. Robbie Krieger of the Doors light the fire with his SG, and Tony Iommi as well as AC/DC rocker Angus Young wouldn't leave home without their SG.

In order to give the younger generation of guitarists access to this icon of rock music, the Gibson SG Junior was offered in 1963 as an affordable entry-level model – the so-called "Student Guitar". Therefore, the development of the guitar had focused on the essentials: a single dog-ear P-90 pickup, a volume and a tone control, and that's it. Extremely spartan, but that's what makes this guitar so appealing! Sometimes less is more. There's an old saying: "You only need ONE real good sound, nothing more!"
