At this year's NAMM Show in Anaheim, California, Gretsch presented an impressive version of a classic from 1955: the "G6136T Limited Edition Falcon with Bigsby". The exquisite ingredients for this strictly limited model show once again that the Falcon holds a very special place in Gretsch's history. Although the ingredients have remained the same as before, the newly created "G6136T Limited Edition Falcon" takes the Falcon to a completely new level of quality. In addition, the exciting Two-Tone Copper/Sahara Metallic finish with "matching headstock" makes this Falcon to an absolute eye-catcher from the first sight.
The 2.75 "deep maple body with the solid 1959 body construction provides the basis for the classic Gretsch full resonance tone. The 12" radius ebony fingerboard with 22 medium jumbo frets, along with the typical "U" profile of the maple neck, provides a comfortably and familiar playing feel. The two TV Jones® Ray Butts full-fidelity pickups with their incomparable twang and dynamic fit perfectly with the overall concept of the Falcon, and makes it a perfect guitar for almost all styles of music. The "squeezebox" paper-in-oil capacitors used here for the tone control provide a pleasantly smooth and authentic Vintage sound. In addition, a built-in treble bleed circuit prevents treble losses when turning down the volume.
Further features of the "G6136T Limited Edition Falcon" are a Bigsby® B6CP String-Thru vibrato system for faster string changing and improved sustain, a curved "Pinned Rocking Bar" bridge with an anchored ebony base, Grover Imperial machine heads, "Mother of Pearl" Neo-Classic™ thumbnails and a bone saddle.
