Gretsch G6128T Players Edition Jet w. Bigsby Roundup Orange

In response to the Gibson Les Paul Goldtop, which was so successful in the early 50s, the Gretsch Company launched its G6128 in 1953. This new model with its two High Sensitive Filter'Tron pickups was particularly popular among Rock'n Roll musicians. A promotional catalog published in 1955 shows three of the successful Gretsch G6128 models in a row: a black Duo Jet, a red Jet Fire Bird and a Round-Up Orange Jet model. Famous guitarists such as Bo Diddley and George Harrison used this Rock'n Roll guitar at the beginning of their careers.

To honor this 65-year-old classic, Gretsch is now launching a Reissue G6128T Players Edition Jet FT with Bigsby Vibrato system. The color "Round-up Orange" was choosen for this historic guitar from the Gretsch Professional Collection, a color that is inevitably associated with Gretsch guitars. The equipment of this Jet FT was based on the original from the 1950s in true detail: Chambered mahogany body with maple top, rosewood neck and high-sensitive Filter'Tron pickups – all this is the guarantee for a great Rock'n Roll sound!
