Stratocasters with a P-90 in bridge position have a long tradition with us. A P-90 is always appealing in terms of sound, and this configuration works excellently not only in mahogany guitars. Until now, we've almost exclusively ordered the "Coodercaster," a traditional '66 model with a straight-mounted P-90. The model shown here in "Candy Tangerine" is based on a 1963 Strat, but has numerous features that significantly modernize this concept. These include the neck heel, 22 frets, and the BiFlex truss rod accessible from the headstock. Added to that is a 12" fingerboard, 6105 narrow tall frets, and vintage staggered tuners. This not only sounds fantastic, but also offers tangible benefits in terms of functionality for everyday use.
"Ends of Frets Quite Straight For More Space" is now included in almost every order we send to Fender's Custom Shop, and this feature is confirmed by the feedback from our customers – there's something special about having a bit more room for the E strings in a standard neck width.
In our opinion, Dennis Galuszka has done a really good job with the aging of this Strat, and the new owner will receive an instrument that will captivate with numerous tonal, visual, and functional appeal!
