There is not much more to say about the guitars from Dana Bourgeois and his small but fine team of talented guitar makers. Anyone who knows a little bit about high-quality acoustic guitars, knows about the high quality, craftsmanship and of course the excellent sound of these guitars.
The OMS-12 shown here is no exception. The compact body with 12-fret construction sits comfortably in the lap and produces a rich, full sound even with low string action. Notes literally jump out of the sound hole and fill the room. Its timbre is warm, transparent and is accompanied by subtle overtones. It remains balanced at all times and allows the notes struck sustain for a long time. Although this instrument is primarily suitable for fingerstyle, you can also produce a great sound with a stronger touch with the pick. The reason for this is certainly the excellent choice of tonewoods. Adirondack spruce is used for the top, which has been treated with an "Aged Tone" process and has therefore undergone an artificial aging process. The back and sides are made of the rarely found Pao Rosewood. In addition to its beautiful appearance, this wood also has the best sound properties.
Visually, it is only plain at first glance. At second glance, some fine details are revealed. The binding is made of flamed koa. The heel cap is made of the same material and has been refined with a "Fleur De lis" inlay made of mother-of-pearl. The headstock made of selected ebony bears the Bourgeois logo made of mother-of-pearl. High-quality Waverly mechanics with snakewood wings are another fine detail.
The guitar was made in 2018 and is in excellent condition apart from a few superficial signs of use. Apart from a subsequently installed K&K Pure Mini pickup, no changes have been made. The original case is included. Checked, strung and perfectly adjusted by our guitar maker!
Specail Notes: Ebony head plate dark as possible, Fleur De lis inlay in heel cap, Aged Tone Bracing
