The Gibson J-45 is arguably one of the most iconic acoustic models from this legendary manufacturer. Here's a slightly different version from the Gibson Custom Shop! Instead of the usual Sitka spruce, it features Carpathian spruce. This wood has a slightly more robust tone than Sitka and harmonizes beautifully with the Hawaiian koa used for the back and sides. Koa wood not only looks fantastic, but it also lends the guitar a certain warmth and a subtle shimmer of overtones. The fretboard and bridge are made of ebony, and the rosette is crafted from abalone. The top has been finished with a beautiful honeyburst. Gold-tone, open-gear Grover tuners complete the elegant look. This special J-45 also performs exceptionally well live, thanks to the LR Baggs Element pickup!
