The wood selection is incredibly beautiful. The Hawaiian koa used here has a very dark, earthy tone and unique grain. The fingerboard and bridge are made of chocolate-brown rosewood and blend beautifully into the overall look. Numerous abalone inlays in the top rim, rosette, bridge, fingerboard, and pickguard provide the necessary bling. The back of the instrument is also a delight. The neck is made of flamed maple, contrasting with the dark body. The headstock is classic and features gold, vintage-style tuners.

In addition to all the extraordinary visual features, the sound must not fail to impress! The response is as light as a feather, and you can feel how wonderfully the instrument resonates. It has great dynamics and can easily accommodate any playing style. When gently plucked, it has a wonderful warmth and richness. If you strike harder with the pick, it can sound bold and lively. In any case, this Gibson SJ-200 All Koa impresses with its large sound volume, warmth, and complex overtones.
