Once again, the Martin Custom Shop impresses with this beautiful 00 12-Fret model, featuring excellent craftsmanship, impressive woods, and outstanding sound! We waited about eight months for this gem, and the wait was worth it. Its foundation is a compact 00 12-Fret body shape. It's very comfortable and roughly the size of a classical guitar. Thanks to the 12-fret construction, the bridge is positioned in the "sweet spot" of the top, giving the guitar additional depth, longer sustain, and silky highs. The selected tonewoods are also crucial to the sound. Engelmann spruce is used for the top, which, in its characteristics, resembles a hybrid of spruce and cedar, combining the best qualities of both worlds. The back and sides are made of fantastically grained, dark red premium cocobolo. This combination creates a sound with very good response, beautiful low-mids, clear string separation, and excellent balance. This little Martin is perfect for fingerstyle and light strumming! To give your fingers more room when picking, we opted for the standard taper, which provides over 57mm of string spacing at the bridge. The Style 45 rosette, along with the high-gloss lacquered cocobolo headstock and the Diamond & Square fretboard inlays, add that extra bling.
