Martin OMC-28 Deep Body EIR/Sitka VTS "Premium Handselect Woods"

Once again, the Martin Custom Shop has impressed us with its outstanding craftsmanship and the perfect implementation of our ideas! The Martin OM-28 is a model that is popular around the world. However, if you want to explore the upper register of the fingerboard, it becomes difficult. Why isn't there a cutaway version? That's exactly what we thought and had Martin built this Custom Shop OM-28 Cutaway!

In addition to the OM-28 Standard, the sound of the famous John Mayer Signature Model also inspired us to create this instrument. So we combined features from these two models and added a cutaway. In this case, the top is made of Engelmann spruce. East Indian rosewood is used for the back and sides. The result is a full and balanced sound, with lots of warmth and complex overtones. When played gently, it develops a wonderfully soft sound with sweet trebles. If you then hit the strings with more energy, it delivers a great, powerful mid-range punch with a lot of assertiveness. So you can play it very dynamically!

For the neck profile, we opted for the tried and tested Modified Low Oval profile, which feels fantastic in the hand. Despite the longer scale length, the playing feel is as smooth as butter. We have also added a few visual extras. The top is adorned with a Bold Herringbone inlay and a Style 45 rosette made of abalone. The headstock has an ebony veneer that has been polished to a high gloss. The whole thing is rounded off by ebony bridge pins with paua dots. These features give the guitar a very high-quality and elegant look!
