Martin OM-28 Cocobolo/Adirondack Custom Shop "Handselect Woods"

I personally spec´d this Martin Custom Shop and was able to select the ideal woods during my last visit to the USA! I've rarely seen such perfectly cut cocobolo, which is why I absolutely had to have this set. The grain is perfectly straight, guaranteeing a stable and resonant tonewood. To achieve the most powerful instrument possible, I chose an Adirondack spruce top. The same material is used for the top bracing. The selected premium woods promise a top-class instrument!

I kept it visually simple for two reasons. Firstly, for price reasons. Opulent ornamentation like that of a 42 or even 45 style guitar is extremely expensive. Secondly, for visual reasons. I like a certain understatement in guitars and, at the same time, let the beautiful woods speak for themselves. The bindings, rosette, and fretboard inlays are kept in the classic 28 style. Only the center stripe on the back is a simple black line in Style 18, which is intended not to interrupt the look of the Cocobolo. Cocobolo is also found on the front of the headstock, which has a high-gloss finish. The back of the neck is finished in satin. To achieve a classic vintage look, the top is treated with a golden yellow aging toner.
