A few years ago we were lucky enough to have a special one-off instrument from the Martin Custom Shop in our shop. This guitar based on the D-28 made us completely speechless. Sound and visuals were unique and still do not let us go today!
This model is a recreation of the said Martin guitar. A top made of Adirondack spruce and back / sides made of Guatemalan rosewood promise a powerful and warm sound with a wide tonal spectrum. The look is as elegant as the sound. Fine Hawaiian Koa adorns the edges of the instrument, as well as the endgraft and heelcap. The fingerboard features Alternate Torch inlays made from selected abalone. A modified low oval neck profile ensures easy playability. To give the player more space between the strings, a standard taper was chosen and the string spacing on the bridge is good 57mm (2 1/4"). The instrument comes with a certificate and a high-quality Martin case.
