Tradition and modernity. The Martin D-42 Modern Deluxe combines these two attributes like no other! At first glance everything seems to be classic Martin. Then the gold-colored frets and bridge pins stand out. All inlays have a different, modernized design and look even more elegant. The bindings are made of maple. Plastic is completely avoided. In addition, there is the heat-treated spruce top in premium quality, which is supported by a forward shifted scalloped X-bracing made of Adirondack. Below the bridge there is a carbon bridge plate. The bracing was also processed with protein glue. All of this gives the guitar an incredibly powerful, punchy sound that scores with a lot of assertiveness. When playing dynamically, the versatility of the instrument is noticeable. With a delicate touch, the guitar has a wonderful warmth and the overtones sparkle in the highs. If you play with more power, the guitar really moves forward and asserts itself really well. Fingerpicking is also a real joy!

Overall, the Martin D-42 Modern Deluxe can be described as a premium class dreadnought. Tradition meets modernity. And hardly any other dreadnought is as versatile as this one. A wonderful instrument that pleases the eyes and ears alike!
