Martin 000-EC 30th Anniversary

With the 000-EC 30th Anniversary, Martin Guitars celebrates its 30-year collaboration with guitar legend Eric Clapton! This model was inspired by the Martin guitar that Eric Clapton played during his famous "MTV Unplugged" concert. The components are both time-tested and high-quality! Its basis is the 000-28 with fine herringbone inlays on the top and rosette. The top is made of selected spruce, and the back and sides are made of East Indian rosewood. Unlike the standard model, the mahogany neck has a narrow 43mm nut width and an "Authentic 1939" neck profile. The latter feels strong but very comfortable. Thanks to the standard taper, there is plenty of room towards the bridge for fingerpicking! The shorter 63.2cm (24.9") scale length reduces string tension and increases playing comfort. This also creates a warmer tone. Another visual highlight are the Golden Era 42-style snowflake inlays on the fingerboard!

The instrument comes with a few extras! A special label is emblazoned inside the body and shows Eric Clapton's pre-printed signature. A special certificate is also included. The crowning glory is a premium embroidered case!

We were able to play this model during our last visit to the Martin Guitars Factory and are absolutely thrilled. It perfectly captures the legendary sound and exudes a very special vintage charm!
