Here's an exotic Martin made from mango! This beautifully grained mango wood gives the Martin CEO-9 its unique appearance. But can such an unusual wood also convince in terms of sound in a high-quality guitar? The short answer is: YES! Martin have managed to transform the rather soft wood into a dreamlike sounding instrument. Its voice is soft and warm without losing definition. It sounds balanced, slightly compressed and is ideally suited for finger picking and gentle strumming. Even in the studio, it can convince with its sound properties. The Modified V neck profile is rather strong and its shape makes it very comfortable to play on. A short 24.9" scale also contributes to playing comfort. Visual highlights are the mango sunset burst finish, vintage copper open gear tuners, Style 42 snowflake inlays and a head veneer made of faux tortoise material. If you take a look through the sound hole, you will discover a pre-printed label with C.F.Martin IV's signature and numbering in sequence.
