Description
The Taylor 614ce Builders Edition WHB combines the best sonic properties of a maple guitar with the comfort and simple elegance of a Taylor Builders Edition! Although maple is known to most guitarists as a fairly bright-sounding wood, Taylor's maple guitars clearly don´t fall into this category. Master Luthier Andy Powers has managed to create a completely new sound by using different materials. The Sitka spruce top is heat treated and protein glue is used to give the sound more warmth and depth. The Silent Satin Finish not only impresses with its silky shimmer, it also has a positive effect on the sound and makes the instrument sound more earthy. The armrest and the rounded body edges achieve maximum comfort. The cutaway was also designed for the best possible access to the upper fingerboard register. The Gotoh 510 tuners in Antique Gold can be tuned as soft as butter. To round off the elegant look, the instrument was given a wild honey burst finish!
This instrument in perticular has a very fine grain Sitka spruce top and beautifully flamed maple for back & sides!
