This Taylor 918e First Edition dates from 2013 and was only produced in limited numbers! Exactly 100 instruments were released onto the world market. We are proud to present number 84 to you. This Grand Orchestra combines the legendary Taylor sound with the volume of a large jumbo guitar. Despite the voluminous body, the instrument sits comfortably in your lap thanks to its slim waist. The rich bass is immediately noticeable on the first chord. The highs shine wonderfully bell-like without sounding sharp. Everything seems full, round, warm and transparent. Added to this is the excellent playability for which Taylor is known.
In addition to the impressive sound, this guitar also shines visually. Numerous abalone inlays adorn the top edge, rosette, fingerboard, bridge and head. In addition, a fine purfling made of red and extremely fine maple veneer has been incorporated into the sides and back. This creates a beautiful contrast between the bindings, the back and sides made of Indian rosewood. A top made of the finest Sitka spruce shimmers beautifully in the light and has darkened subtly.
If you want to use this instrument live, you can do so thanks to the Taylor Expression System 1! A combination of electromagnetic pickup and sensor produces a very natural sound. The original case is included!
