Taylor Gold Label 814e Natural

With the start of 2025 Taylor surprises us with the all-new Gold Label Collection series! These instruments were developed by Master Luthier Andy Powers and are intended to capture the charm and sound of vintage guitars from the 1930s and 1940s. And he has succeeded our expecations! We proudly present you the brand new Taylor Gold Label 814e Sunburst.

The new headstock immediately catches the eye. The old school lettering harmonizes wonderfully with the new shape of the head. The body shape is also new and is called Super Auditorium. It is slightly larger than the popular Grand Auditorium and therefore delivers more sound volume. But you don't have to forego playing comfort thanks to the tight waist. Continental inlays in the fingerboard and a matching engraving in the pickguard support the vintage look. The grained ivoroid binding creates a beautiful contrast and fits wonderfully into the overall look. In addition to the logo and inlay, the head is decorated with high-quality Gotoh 510 mechanics with ebony buttons.

The guitar's sound is impressive from the first note. It is a completely new sound experience that surprises with an incredible fullness, warmth and transparency. The sustain lasts a very long time and is accompanied by controlled overtones that act like a natural reverb effect. This means that every chord sounds energetic, full and has great string separation. The very easy response is noticeable when fingerpicking. The reason for this is the newly developed Fanned V-Class Bracing System with Tonal Route. The tone is also enhanced by the new Long Tenon neck connection. This connection also allows the neck angle and string position to be easily adjusted. The wood selection here is fine Sitka spruce and Honduras rosewood. The latter has high sound qualities in addition to the breathtaking grain.

Last but not least, the LR Baggs VTC pickup system should be mentioned positively. The subtle look and natural sound fits very well with the overall concept.
