2021 Fender Custom Shop Telecaster 1954 Willcutt MB Todd Krause

This Fender was born out of the idea of reproducing a very specific Telecaster model, built in April 1954 with serial number 2826, as perfectly as possible. The whole project was initiated by the American guitar dealer Willcut Guitars, and it was ultimately built by Todd Krause. An interesting detail: the then Master Builder, Ron Thorn, was considered an absolute Tele expert, and Krause apparently wasn't afraid to seek advice from Thorn during construction, even noting his assistance on the spec sheet.
The rather subtle aging, the lightweight ash body, the bright finish, and of course the profile of the one-piece maple neck correspond exactly to the original specifications; even the original serial number was stamped into the bridge plate. The pickups were hand-wound by Josefina Campos, creating the perfect illusion of holding a fantastic-sounding original from 1954 in your hands.
