2023 Fender Custom Shop Stratocaster 1963 HT JRN OWT #R117894

This previously owned 1963 Hardtail Stratocaster is in perfect, mint condition. The plain grain maple neck features a selected, almost black rosewood fingerboard. The contrast with the body in Olympique White with its subtle Journeyman Relic finish is simply stunning! This Strat develops a beautiful, bell-like sound, perfectly conveyed by the hand-wound '60/'63 single coils. Overall, this Strat is very close to the original in every detail. The 9.5" fingerboard and the 6105 Narrow Tall fretwire used are an exception. Both features improve playability and are almost standard on Custom Shop instruments. Another detail that differs from the original is slowly becoming fashionable and was first noticed on some Dale Wilson instruments: the dot inlays on the fingerboard are in Micarta White. Not entirely historically accurate (the darker clay dots were/are used here), but on darker stages the lighter dots are simply more visible.
