Fender Custom Shop Stratocaster 1963 Journeyman Relic Candy Apple Red
Description
Here is a Guitar-Place "Dealer Select" Stratocaster with some specifications that we really like to order at the Fender Custom Shop. This beauty in Candy Apple Red has a fantastically playable neck with a 12" fingerboard radius, 63 Strat Style "C" neck profile, medium vintage /47095 frets and authentic vintage clay dots. The staggered tuner for significantly optimized tuning stability when using the tremolo are also mounted here, so the string tree is not absolutely necessary and is only for the vintage look.
The body made of 2-piece alder has a very subtle Journeyman Relic finish on this '63 reissue and if you are curious why Fender in particular can be considered the "inventor" of relicing and now has incredible expertise in authentic aging in all gradations, you are welcome to read about it here:
Also due to the 60 Strat single coils, a great sounding Strat has been built here, just like we prefer it for some time: absolutely classic in appearance and sound, a few small modifications improve playability enormously. Thanks to the guys in the Custom Shop, who have once again done a fantastic job here!
