Fender Custom Shop Telecaster 1952 NOS NBL R136923

These very early Telecasters, as they left the Fender factory in late summer 1951, had their own special charm. They still had all the specs of the Nocaster, which had also only been causing a stir on the guitar market for a few months due to its groundbreaking and simple design. Slotted screws were used instead of the Phillips screws that later became commonplace, and the color of the varnish was usually a bit lighter than on the later '52 models. It didn't take long for the first guitarists to explore the possibilities of these guitars.
The NOS model shown here is an excellent reissue of these very early models. This is exactly what a Telecaster looked like when it left the production facilities in Fullerton in late '51/early '52! And when you play it for the first time, you can see why this absolutely puristic guitar still captivates legions of guitarists to this day!
