Ibanez PS3CM Paul Stanley Black Cracked Mirror

The history of this guitar actually goes back to 1975, when it was presented by Ibanez as  "Artist 2663". Originally planned as a copy of the Gibson Explorer under the name "Destroyer", replicas of the American originals were soon no longer welcome and so a new design was developed that still bears a distant resemblance to the Explorer. Paul Stanley, singer and guitarist of the up-and-coming rock band "KISS", took a liking to this striking instrument and made it his stage guitar from 1977 onwards. Apart from a brief interlude with Washburn, Stanley remained loyal to his Ibanez, which was marketed under the model name "Iceman" from 1978 onwards. After decades of working together, Ibanez presented its loyal customer Stanley with a very special Iceman in an elaborate "Cracked Mirror" look. Stanley was delighted and used it from then on as a stage guitar; series production was not initially considered due to the complex manufacturing process. Only after KISS fans from all over the world asked for this guitar Ibanez decided, with the consent of Paul Stanley (whose signature adorns the included certificate and a added pickguard), to produce a limited edition of the "Crack Mirror".
