Here a Gibson 1959 ES-335 in a fantastic looking Vintage Burst. This reissue model is based on the original from 1959 with absolute accuracy. Like the last ES-335 built in Memphis, this guitar is of outstanding quality. Carefully selected woods such as light maple for the center block and quartersawn mahogany for the one-piece neck are used as well as Custombucker Alnico III humbuckers, "Papers in Oil" capacitors and the hand-wired tone circuit with matched 550 kOhm potentiometers.
All the details with which the ES-335 1959 Reissue came up since 2015 and with which it competed visually and sonically with the best originals have also been taken into account in the models built in Nashville. The neck profile is authentic, and this typical 59 profile is basically always a perfect fit in the hand. The fingerboard edges are subtly rounded and from the first note you get the feeling of holding a well-rehearsed instrument in your hands. The bracing is made of hand-carved Adirondack spruce and together with the light and resonant center block it gives this ES the liveliness that a guitarist has always been looking for!
