Fender Custom Shop Stratocaster 1965 Journeyman Relic BRG HSS #R132519

The English racing cars have not been painted in this traditional color for a long time, but this does not detract from Fender's affinity for eye-catching car colors. Like this wonderful reissue of an early 1965 Stratocaster with some nice modifications. Traditional is the neck profile and the single coils in the neck and middle position. The black pickguard and the "retrofitted" EVH humbucker with chrome cover are typical things that were used to modify countless Stratocasters in the 70s and early 80s according to their owners' wishes. The rosewood fingerboard with 12" radius and 6105 "Narrow Tall" frets was not explicitly ordered by us as "Sorted For Dark", but it is still deep black and fits the guitar wonderfully.
Dr. Jekill & Mr. Hide on the pickups: the two single coils sound wonderfully clear and open, which is supported by the concise basic sound. The humbucker on the bridge has plenty of power and actually one goal: No Mercy!
