Fender Custom Shop Telecaster 1953 NOS BTB

Fender's Custom Shop built us this Telecaster with exactly the same specs also in a "Relic" and "Heavy Relic" version. In this '53 version with a humbucker in the neck position, it has everything we love about these early models! The '53 models usually had a pretty strong neck profile. We chose the 10/56 "V", which is also strong, but not too bulky. Add to that the flat 12" fingerboard radius and a medium vintage 47095 fret wire. In combination with the lightweight body made of first-class ash, you get a good impression of why a really good Tele is the measure of all things for many players when you first play it dry! The sound is present and powerful and jumps out at you straight away. The positive impression continues with the amplifier: the original Blackguard - single coil at the bridge transmits the sound brilliantly and crisply, without sounding thin or cutting at all. The humbucker in the neck position (Seymour Duncan Alnico II Pro) is one of the numerous successful PAF clones from Duncan, which does its job remarkably well: warm, defined bass, highs that stand out well in the band structure.... it just fits!
