Fender Custom Shop Telecaster 1951 REL NBL Dennis Galuszka R136295

Here is the reissue from a very early Telecaster, as shown on page 167 of “The Blackguard”. The data corresponds to a model from September 1951. All screws are slot head screws, only the neck adjustment rod is a Phillips screw. The model with serial number 1739 also had a flatter fingerboard radius than the usual 7.25" and was re-fretted with slightly thicker fret wire. The neck PU of the original  from 1951 measures 5.89 kOhm, the bridge PU 7.26 kOhm. This corresponds exactly to the data of the hand-wound 50/51 Blackguard pickups used in this reissue. Incidentally, this gem was built by Dennis Galuszka, now a veteran of the Fender Custom Shop.

Very early Telecaster example. Late summer 51 with Nocaster specs. Finish appears to be worn off, as well as buffed or stripped off on the front and the back of body. Featherweight and resonant guitar.
Comfortable neck with a medium size round shape. Refretted with slightly larger frets. Heavy weather checking. Tight neck pocket fit. All slot head screws. Copper-plated elevator plate on lead pickup. Early -style milled jack cup
