2019 Fender Custom Shop Stratocaster Stevie Ray Vaughan Signature Relic CZ543965

The Fender Stevie Ray Vaughan Signature LTD Edition Stratocaster is a copy of Stevie's “Number One”, which he acquired in Ray Hennig’s Heart of Texas Music in Austin / TX in 1973. As a tribute to Jimi Hendrix, a left-handed vintage-style tremolo was installed. The neck made of riftsawn maple (tinted) with a strong "oval C" profile and jumbo frets was entirely to Stevie's taste. The fretboard, originally with a 7.25 "radius, became flatter after repeated dressing. The Custom Shop also uses a 12" radius for this signature. Since the pickups of the original guitar from 1959 came from a lot that had been provided with significantly more windings than normal, the decision was made here for the popular hand-wound Texas Special PUs in an overwound version. Classic gold hardware, 5-way pickup switching (vintage style wiring) and the SRV Pickguard are of course standard here.
