Fender produced a whole series of these '62 reissues in various finishes for NAMM 2007. A striking feature of all models were the bodies made of lightweight ash, and all had very nice "Round Lam" fingerboards from the late '62 Strats, which were made of extra-dark rosewood ("sorted for dark"). Not only does it look great and go well with the "Shell Pink" relic finish, but the sound of this Strat is also impressive! Its balanced tone with a lot sustain is immediately noticeable, and in the upper registers it sounds really fat and powerful. Great guitar!
