#Fender Custom Shop Jazzmaster 1962 Relic Daphne Blue

In July 1961, Fender introduced a “Custom Color Chart” for the first time. This included Black and Olympique White, Shoreline Gold, Inca Silver, Surf Green, Foam Green, Sonic Blue and Daphne Blue. Metallic colors included Sherwood Green and Lake Placid Blue. There was also Fiesta Red, Dakota Red, Burgundy Mist, Shell Pink ("for female players or brave men") and Blonde.
We used an early '62 model with a rosewood slapboard in Daphne Blue as a pattern for this fantastic Jazzmaster. The folks at the Custom Shop built us this model out of a really lightweight alder body. This and the RSD bridge are probably responsible for the fact that you get an incredibly dynamic and explosive sound that is really fun! This Jazzmaster looks stunning and sounds just as great!
