What a great ‘56 Strat! Neither the one-piece Maple Neck nor the circuit make concessions to modern habits! The guitar has a 7.25" fretboard radius, vintage frets and the 3-way switch. It looks as if it had left the factory in the early Fender years and aged with dignity behind the living room cabinet. The guitar has a beautiful relic -aging, which is very different from today's aging methods of the Custom Shop.The lively, fat tone is accurately transmitted by the Fat 50 pickups.You might be able to swap the 3-way switch for the 5-way version, but basically you should leave this beauty untouched and enjoy as it left the Custom Shop in July 2002.
