#2016 Gibson 1947 J-50 Custom Shop

The Gibson J-50 was first launched in 1942. The best quality spruce was used for the natural finish. The Gibson J-50 was therefore an upgrade to the J-45. As the high-quality woods became scarce due to the war, this model was taken out of the range and then reissued again shortly after the end of the war in 1947!

Here is the Custom Shop version of the J-50, which was reissued in 1947, built in 2016! Its top is made of the best thermally treated spruce top. This means that the top is thermally modified and thus subjected to an artificial aging process. The result is great resonance and a tone that is very close to the good originals. The back and sides, as well as the neck, are made of mahogany. This guitar has an easy response and resonates noticeably on the body. Its tone is dry, direct and transparent. And it doesn't lack warmth!

With this very well-maintained Gibson 1947 J-50 from the Montana Custom Shop, we have an outstanding instrument that will delight vintage fans. Like all of our instruments, this guitar has been checked and perfectly adjusted by our guitar maker. The original case, warranty card and COA are included!
